Advertisement for the Post of ‘Junior Research Assistant’ for JKST&IC, JKDST Sponsored Research Project
Applications are hereby invited from eligible and interested candidates for one position of ‘Project Assistant’ in the research project entitled “Deciphering Climate Resilience in Kashmir’s Indigenous Rice: Photosynthetic and Biochemical Modelling Analysis for Sustainable Agriculture,” sponsored by JKST & IC, JKDST.
The engagement will be purely contractual for a total duration of one year, with continuation for a second year subject to satisfactory performance and annual renewal
Stipend : Rs. 20,000/- per month for Non-NET/ NET/GATE qualified candidates
Essential Qualifications :
M.Sc. Botany with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGP grade
Desirable :
Qualified CSIR-UGC NET exam or its equivalent.
Good and applied knowledge of Agriculture Sciences.
Familiarity with the paddy field experiments.
Experienced in computer handling and basic software applications

1. Applicants should note that the appointment is to be made purely on a temporary basis. The
candidate will have no right or claim for any regular appointment in the University.
2. The engagement may be terminated at any time by the University without any reason by
giving a notice of one week.
3. Any corrigendum in connection with this advertisement shall be uploaded on the
University website: www.cukashmir.ac.in only.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, or at the time of joining the post.
